Do you recall that yellow slide rule that dad used on the kitchen table in Niagara Falls? I'll be damned if I never learn how to use that thing.... or even what it was mainly used for... so I'm boning up it via youtubes lately. It's a hell of a thing to learn because I ended up using a calculator instead but the slide rule is still a popular topic on youtube so I'm delving into it. Stupid high schools never introduced it but I had my own slide rule in a gray/blue plastic case. Now I can't find it. Well, whatever. You probably couldn't care less which is understandable. A lot of high school math was totally useless. I made my own slide rule out of two 12" rules to add 2+2. Nobody ever did that before. So there, I invented that.
